1. Go to: https://www.irs.gov/payments/direct-pay

  2. Click on MAKE A PAYMENT

  3. There will be three drop downs:

    Reason for Payment: EXTENSION
    Apply Payment To 4868
    Tax Period for Payment 2023

  4. This is ONLY for verification purposes - use 2022. And enter your information from 2022 just to verify your identity

  5. Then you can schedule the payment and enter the amount.

  6. Finalize

  7. Save copy of confirmation for your records
